Diva Hunting on the Grid

Moo Money asked "Don't you have better things to do with your time in SL?"

Indeed I do.

I would much rather be enjoying the game than having to pursue a foul mouthed, back biting, middle aged, self proclaimed fashion diva across the grid to get her to own up to her responsibilities to the models she milked, bilked and abused.

It is apparent that you are still swathed in the golden glow of her favor. Once you step out of line, become to much of a pain in the butt to for her to tolerate, or she has used you for what she can, your golden glow may just turn into a golden shower.

I never said she wasn't business savvy. After all she had 90 models running continuous events to drive up traffic in her stores and the Linden dollars in her wallet.

Why not ask silentsparrow and Calico Creations why the three of them parted company and on such bad terms if you are wanting to delve more deeply into her savvy capabilities. Hell, ask Simone! I warrant it's because she was trying to steamroll right over the two of them. Badmouthing their products. Discouraging models from using them to finally demanding - after the dissolution of the triad -- that we not be seen in her store or at any of her functions wearing anything from either silentsparrow or Calico Creations.

Ask.

For the record, I've received no favors from her, shop there occasionally, and am going on my meeting her in real life. Until she wrongs me, I'm not going to believe what someone I don't know says. Also, couldn't you have settled this one on one? It's so distasteful to air your personal drama on a blog. Work it out privately and end it with a hug. You can do it!

When someone chooses to run public contests which demand the expenditure of time and money from the contestants, they should not cry "privacy" or hide from public comment on their actions. Rather than being interpersonal, this seems like it is something that affected Mairead and 60+ other people.

Simone has set the tone here by disbanding her modeling group, even while acknowledging some contributions from its members. She admits (in her IMs) that she asked them to work. Even if everything else is untrue, the fact that Simone did not pay anyone with anything-- speaks volumes. Well...it seems other designers paid (as was honorable), even though they basically subsidized work done for Simone.

I remember seeing a post from you Moo on how people are unfairly thinking negatively of you. Sometimes, like you did, you have to deal with personal issues (what some people would call drama) in a public way when face to face cannot, or will not, work.

And frankly, I thank Mairead for sharing this. It will be a cautionary tale for those who choose to participate in these contests, whether they are run by Simone, or other people.

Moo Money...

How do you settle things with someone who tells "the entire group" to not bother to IM her, her decision is final.

How do you go one on one with someone who mutes you at the first sign that her adversary is not going to back down.

How do you settle with someone who circles her cohorts around her then tells them unsubstantiated tales about her foes.

Once she told me that hy of silentsparrow was leaving funeral dirges on her answering machine. Why even tell me that?

I wonder what she is telling people about me. Oh hell. No I don't. I don't care. I know most of them, or inwardly saying to themselves, "there she goes again off on another rant on some poor soul."

If I thought I had a chance of getting a calm and adult response from Simone, I know my tact would have been different.

Having witnessed her lack of consideration, her mouth even in the public chat arena of her store, I know this was not going to happen.

Simone will drop you from groups and ban you from sims before holding a reasonable conversation about (gasp) something she had done badly.

Rather than be adult about it she would prefer to continue to lie and back bite.

She chooses to hide behind her ban and group powers to do these things.

I prefer to bring things into the light in the blog.

Different strokes for different folks.

I did not say she did not pay anyone anything. What I did say was no one had been given any compensation for around 6 weeks.

The "deal" was that the "winners" receive "all new releases" from Simone! Design, silentsparrow and Calico Creations. silentsparrow and Calico Creations have been fulfilling their commitment to the models.

The models received the "business lines" Simone had a show for, but most of the sportswear line from the show prior to that was not distributed, nor was anything after the business line.

When asked in group chat if she would be releasing clothing to the models, she simply said "NO!!!!".

Then she wonders why no one hops to work?
